CROSSROADS COMMUNITY OUTREACH FOUNDATION – P.S. SCIENCE

AFFORDING EVERYONE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN.

The Crossroads Community Outreach Foundation (CCOF) developed P.S. Science, a hands-on science program to support underserved elementary school students in Title I schools. Astellas USA Foundation provides funding to this comprehensive program that comprises a sequential, skill-building, activities-based curriculum aligned with Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

WHERE EAGER MINDS MEET BIG HEARTS.

Everyone deserves opportunity. Here, program facilitators share their passion for science with elementary school students in Title I schools. The kids get their opportunity to participate in exciting activities they might otherwise not be exposed to.

MORE INTEREST. MORE LEARNING.

This growing program currently serves more than 750 students in grades one through three living at or below the poverty line in Santa Monica and the Los Angeles area. P.S. Science provides the curriculum and all necessary materials and training for site teachers so that they can continue the program after three years of working with a trained elementary science educator.

CONTINUOUS SUPPORT.

After the initial three-year training period, P.S. Science continues to provide instructional support and all weekly program materials, as long as the receiving school remains in partnership with P.S. Science.
